The Clemson football complex is about to be the best place to hang out on campus.
According to a report from The State, the complex will now include a barber shop, arcade, bowling alley, laser tag, an HD theater, nutrition center and even a nap room.
More on that nap room from The State:
The nap room is the favorite feature of Thad Turnipseed, who is Clemson’s director of recruiting and external affairs after Swinney hired him away from Alabama. It will feature eight bunk beds, three massage chairs and bean bags.
“The number one problem is lack of sleep, and right now what guys do all over the country is bring a pillow and go find a staircase or locker or hallway, and they’ll lay down and sleep, especially during two-a-days and really all year long,” Turnipseed said. “The nap room cost very little and is a great benefit.”
According to a report in the Washington Post late last year, 48 universities spent a combined $772 million on athletic facilities in 2014 — an 89 percent increase for a decade earlier.
