The presidential election has divided the country, pitting friends against one another and even straining marriages.
Apparently Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are no exception.
On the eve of the election, Donald J. Trump brandished a final round of high-profile endorsements, announcing at a rally in New Hampshire that Mr. Brady, the star quarterback for the New England Patriots, was voting for him.
“Donald, I support you, you’re my friend and I voted for you,” Mr. Trump said, recounting to a cheering crowd a conversation he had had with Mr. Brady.
Mr. Brady has not spoken publicly about his vote, but Ms. Bündchen suggested on her Instagram page that the couple did not support the Republican nominee.
“Gisele I heard you and tom were backing Trump!” one of her fans asked. “Is that true??”
In response, Ms. Bündchen wrote, “NO!”
