Erin Andrews lawsuit: How much of $55M judgment will she get?

A Nashville jury on Monday awarded television broadcaster Erin Andrews $55 million in her civil case involving secretly recorded nude videos, but how much of that money will she actually get?

Legal analysts tell The Tennessean that the Fox Sports reporter and “Dancing with the Stars” co-host probably will receive much less money.

Michael David Barrett altered a peephole to Andrews’ room in the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University in September 2008 and secretly recorded nude videos of the then-ESPN reporter. Andrews sued him and the hotel owner, West End Hotel Partners, and its management company, Windsor Capital Group, saying their failures led Barrett to find her room and access her.

After seven hours of deliberation, a 12-person jury awarded Andrews $55 million.
