Family of Junior Seau settles concussion lawsuit against NFL

The family of former NFL linebacker Junior Seau has reached a confidential agreement to resolve the family’s wrongful death lawsuit against the league after Seau shot himself to death in 2012 at age 43.

A postmortem study of Seau’s brain concluded he had suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which has been linked to head trauma in football.
