Letter Aaron Hernandez wrote from prison up for bid in auction

A letter that former NFL player Aaron Hernandez wrote while in prison is up for bid at a Lelands Masters Auction.

The letter, written in blue ink on yellow legal paper, was penned just 13 days after Hernandez was arrested and later charged with murder, according to Lelands.com. It is dated July 8, 2013.

The bottom of the first page includes a note that reads: “Please keep this private & off social media cuz they will make it into a huge thing positive or negative you never know!”

The recipient of the letter will not be revealed, but the original envelope from the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office will be included.

As of Thursday night, the opening bid was $300.
