Minor league hockey team plays in empty arena, does Kiss Cam anyway

Bad weather in Charlotte, North Carolina forced two hockey teams to face off in front of an empty arena earlier this week. But while the quiet may have made it seem more like a practice scrimmage than an actual game, the Charlotte Checkers staff kept some important in-game traditions alive.

For example, the Kiss Cam. Because what’s a game without a Kiss Cam? Even if there’s no happy couples smooch?

And, they played everyone’s favorite song:

At least the mascot showed up.
