Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 29 points in Saturday’s loss to the Nuggets after missing one Knicks game with a sore shoulder.

DENVER — Kenneth Faried scored 25 points and Emmanuel Mudiay had 22 on Saturday as the Denver Nuggets beat Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks, 127-114.

Anthony, who missed the Knicks’ loss at Golden State on Thursday night with a bruised right shoulder, had 29 points against his former team but remained winless in five trips to Denver since he was traded to the Knicks in 2011.

Kristaps Porzingis scored 22 points, but the Knicks concluded a five-game road trip with their first three-game losing streak of the season. Derrick Rose, who has been bothered by back spasms, was given the night off after experiencing discomfort during the pregame shootaround.

The Knicks trailed by 8 points at halftime but closed the deficit to 70-66 on a 3-pointer by Brandon Jennings. Denver responded with a 15-3 run capped by a reverse dunk by Faried.
