This NBA offseason has been full of workout photos and videos from all of the stars, including LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook. Paul George added another one of his own videos to the mix this week.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star specifically shouted out Ryan Capretta, the founder of the training center called Proactive Sports Performance, in his caption.
George says he reached out to Capretta right after the Pacers were swept by the Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs last season and said, “I’m on a mission this year to be the best … I knew I wasn’t good enough this past year and wanted to give my team more.”
In the 2016-17 season, George averaged a career-high 23.7 points per game, along with 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists, while with the Pacers. He was traded to the Thunder in June.
Here’s George’s full message:
About this summer… I contacted my guy Ryan Capretta @proactivesp immediately after losing in the playoffs and told him I’m on a mission this year to be the best. I wanted him to challenge me and push me harder than I’ve ever been pushed before. I knew I wasn’t good enough the past year and wanted to give my team more. Didn’t know…
