Peyton Manning Visits the Giants and Offers Some Wisdom

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — With a more flexible schedule in retirement, Peyton Manning made his first visit to the workplace of his younger brother, Eli, addressing the Giants after their practice on Tuesday and later talking with the team’s coaches.

Peyton Manning even sat in on a meeting of Giants quarterbacks to offer tips and advice on how the team’s offense might attack the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

“He gave some insight, some stuff that was successful for him,” Eli Manning later said of his brother. “He played Pittsburgh a lot over the years. He played them last year in the playoffs. So there were just a few tips or ideas that may fit into our system.”

Manning said his older brother had decided to make his first visit to the Giants’ training and office complex in northern New Jersey while in the New York area for another commitment. Peyton Manning did not throw any passes.
