The curious case of Kawhi Leonard continues.

On Wednesday, 67 days after the two-time Defensive Player of the Year and perennial MVP candidate had last seen NBA action, his San Antonio Spurs teammate Manu Ginobili said he doesn’t expect him to return this season.

“For me, he’s not coming back, because it’s not helping (to think that he is)” Ginobili told reporters in San Antonio when asked about his mindset regarding Leonard’s potential return. “We fell for it a week ago, again. I guess you guys made us fall for it. But as I said maybe a month ago, I don’t know when it was, we’ve got to think that he’s not coming back, that we are who we are and that we’ve got to fight without him. That shouldn’t be changing, at least until he’s ready for the jump ball.”
