Worse Than Lacking Discipline, the Jacksonville Jaguars Are Without Answers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A day after the most embarrassing loss in his N.F.L. tenure, Jacksonville Jaguars Coach Gus Bradley at least retained his job — even if it seemed to be causing him some angst.

Bradley expressed frustration Friday with his team’s lack of discipline during a 36-22 drubbing against the Tennessee Titans, a road loss that came four days after a home loss to Oakland that was just as humbling.

The loss in Tennessee on Thursday was made worse by two first-half blunders: The rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey was penalized for hitting a player well out of bounds and defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. was flagged for throwing a punch.

“There’s never an excuse for not playing with great effort,” Bradley said during a conference call with reporters. “We won’t, cannot and will not tolerate lack of discipline, things under our control. We have a standard. If you’re not meeting that standard, get your butt going.”
